School History
Couva (St. Andrew) Anglican Primary School was built in 1875. The structure was replaced in 1920. In 1969 an annex was added to ease the problem of overcrowding . In 1975, these buildings were demolished to make way for the present structure, which comprises of three buildings; two buildings positioned in a North/South direction and the other in an East/West direction. The open courtyard in the middle of these three buildings measures eight hundred and seventy-five square metres (875m). The school was built to accommodate three hundred and eighty (380) students, but at present it can accommodate three hundred and ten (310) students due to conversion of three classrooms to facilitate the establishment of a computer laboratory, a library and a music room (steelpan). There is a proposal to construct one(1) Pre-Fabricated building to accommodate eight(8) rooms. Work has begun on a Staffroom/ lunch room from July 2016.
